1. I met my husband at the mall. It's true...when I was 17 my friend and I were coming out of the mall and we saw 2 boys drive by. We got in the car and followed them and then they followed us. We finally stopped and talked. I lied and told him I was 18, he asked for my ID, he he. I of course didn't give it to him but did confess about a week later. We saw each other pretty much every day after that... and 6 and 1/2 years later here we are:)

2. I miss my Grandmother. She died almost 2 years ago and was the coolest woman ever. She was so funny and I spent a lot of time with her when I was a little girl. We used to make barbie doll clothes together and she would take me out to dinner and shopping almost every week. When she retired she moved up north so I didn't see her as much but we still stayed very close.

3. I Love animals. Well I used to LOVE animals before I had a baby, now I just love them. They are a lot of work and time and $$ but I do love to cuddle up with my own when I have time and working at an animal hospital is the best because I can see all of the cute animals and then give them back to their owners!

4. I am up at 6:30 am right now writing this. I know, I know after all of my posts about not getting sleep and Olivia is fast asleep and here I am wide awake. I am about 6 months pregnant now and have a hard time getting comfy in bed...and it doesn't help that my dear husband lets his alarm go off for 40 min before he gets up in the am.

5. I am scared about having another baby girl! I keep thinking that no one will be able to compare to my little princess. I know it sounds silly, and I know in the end I will love the new baby just as much. I guess it just doesn't seem real yet, even though I feel her kicking away all the time!

6. I can't wait till it snows. Which is weird because I don't think last year I would have said that, but I want it to really snow. I can't wait to see Olivia out in the snow for the first time and actually want to play in it! I can't wait to put up the Christmas tree, and decorations and drive around and look at the lights. Oh and of course eat all of the good holiday meals and treats!!!

7. I am going back to sleep!

Family picture book

Yesterday during Olivia's nap time I actually did something that I have been wanting to do for a while. Usually when Olivia naps I camp out on the couch eat my lunch, catch up with my DVR and be lazy just because I can be and of course because I am pregnant...that's a good excuse right??? Anyways I made Olivia a picture book of her family. I put a picture of each person and their name underneath it. I even put a picture of her baby sister's ultrasound in it! Her favorite spread is the one of her kitties or mow mows as she calls them and her cousin Lauren. She always has it open to that page and is talking away or saying MOW MOW. Oh and please excuse the red line through the picture...I am not sure why it uploaded like that because it is not like that on my camera. Anyways, In that picture she is talking to her favorite cousin Lauren!

I also let Olivia color yesterday. She did put the crayons in her mouth a couple of times but when I told her no she took them right out and started coloring on the paper. She did pretty good too and it looked like she had fun. There was a little mishap when the paper fell and she decided to color all over her tray, but that is why they invented the wonderful crayola washable crayons! I am sure that I will be washing them off of a lot of things in time!

Oh and one more thing...I did go into Olivia's room at 1am last night when she cried just to check on her and make sure she was warm enough...she of course threw a tantrum, leg kicking and all, when I put her back in her crib but she only cried for about 10 minutes and fell fast asleep! She woke up around 6 because she heard her Daddy getting up but fell asleep on her own again! Then she didn't wake up till after 9am this morning!!!! I was actually up at like 8:30 wondering if she was ok because it was so late. So the sleep thing is going good and I feel better in the morning and she is much happier in the morning and well rested.

Update

I have good news...Olivia slept from about 9pm all through the night until 7 am this morning! I did hear her whining at about 3am but she must of fell back asleep because I didn't hear another peep out of her. Is this a trick? Only one time of crying and she is sleeping through the night? I mean I know she is smart but she is also very stubborn! Well I guess we will see tonight if this is for real or not!

Sleepless nights over???

Ha ha who am I kidding! So last night Olivia woke up 3 times...yes she is 1 and still waking up 2-3 times a night. I have to say this is totally my fault. All I can think when she starts crying at night is that she is sitting there waiting for her Mommy to come and cuddle her and wondering why she isn't coming...so of course I always go. Well last night, well actually morning, at about 5 I put her back to sleep and she woke up like 2 minutes later and started crying again. If I had gotten up again that would be 4 times out of bed...and I was thinking this is ridiculous, I am TIRED. So I let her cry...after about 15 minutes I started crying too. I felt so incredibly awful, she was crying so hard sitting there waiting for her Mommy to cuddle her. Brad woke up (yes he slept through 15 minutes of earth shattering cries) and kept telling me to wait it out and was of course laughing at me because I was crying. But after about 30 minutes she fell back asleep all by herself and didn't wake up till 8am when we normally get up. I of course couldn't fall back asleep right away because I still felt awful and then was worried about her breathing and everything because she had cried so hard. But anyways I am totally dreading tonight. I know I have to stick to it, but I hope it doesn't take too many of these torturous nights for her to start sleeping better. Wish me luck!

P.S this picture of Olivia was taken when she was only a couple days old! She still looks so peaceful when sleeping. I have to say even when I am up in the middle of the night I love to just stare at her and watch her sleeping so peacefully.

Pumpkins

These are pictures of Olivia from last week when we went to Gro-Moore farms to get pumpkins. Today we went to my Dad's house and he had bought some pumpkins to carve with Olivia. I of course forgot my camera, but my dad got some good pictures that I will be getting soon!

She had a great time and thought the pumpkin tasted great. She even ate a couple pumpkin seeds! She kept sticking her shovel in the pumpkins and playing with all of the goo! It kept her very happy for quite a while. She even took a bite right out of the pumpkin top.

We have yet to carve our pumpkins that we got at Gro-Moore farms... I have been thinking about painting them, but I am not sure if I am brave enough to give Olivia a paint brush yet!

Leaves

Last night while dinner was cooking we decided to bundle up Olivia and take her outside to play in the leaves. Brad raked up a little pile and we put her right in the middle! At first she looked at us like what are you doing? Then she started shoving leaves into her mouth. Then she finally started throwing them and moving her legs to hear the noise! It was very cute.

This week she also surprised me by saying Bye and waving...we all know she can say Hi a million times but this was definitely a bye! She also has her doggy and kitty sounds down, he he. Ask her what a doggy or kitty says and she will tell you...although she doesn't always do it for anyone. Oh and tell her to go get her baby and she will get her doll out of her toy box and then kiss it when you tell her to. She is getting so smart...I am amazed at the things she picks up on so quick.

I am pretty sure she will be walking within a few weeks. She stands up on everything, and thinks climbing the stairs is the coolest thing, even though Mommy does not and has had to put an extra gate up, which she is not too happy about!
